Kev here again with another exciting Hook of the Week…

This one was written by a really cool cat named Red.

I’ll let 60SSH member Chad Brocato explain through the email he sent me:

Hi Kevin,

I really like receiving your emails and have learned a lot, thank you.  Love the hook of the week, they are great and it’s awesome seeing all the different uses in various industries.

I wanted to share with you how I used your KLT hook.

My wife has been trying to find a cat a home and after listening to her talk about the cat and his situation I knew your KLT hook would work.

Check it out, hope you like it.

IDENTITY:

Hi, they call me Red the Maine Coon, whatever that means.

STRUGGLE:

It’s been a rough start for me in this world, surviving one of the coldest and worst winters in NY.  Simply finding clean water to drink was a herculean task, forgetting about eating every day, that was a luxury I’ve never known.  Don’t even ask me about shelter, could you imagine sleeping outdoors, day and night, in NY, in December, January, February etc.. exactly, you get the idea, it was brutal, actually amazed I even survived.

Considering all that I’ve been through it’s no wonder if you’d assume that I’d be fearful and untrusting of anything and anyone that came my way.

DISCOVERY:

But no, not this kitty, I discovered if you open your heart and let humans help you it’s pretty good.  Not having to worry so much about meals and shelter is really awesome.  Not to mention how good receiving some love and attention feels, I can’t get enough of that.

RESULT:

As a result of my circumstances I’ve really come to appreciate the simple things in life, I’ll soak up all the love thrown my way.

Give me a chance you’ll see, I’m not like your typical aloof cat.  I got personality in spades, and have learned the value of connecting.  I get along with other cats and dogs, I’m pretty much super friendly with all that I meet.

CALL TO ACTION:

So, if you’re looking for a special new soul buddy, who will appreciate and love you, look no further, I’m your feline.  Hey, even if you’re not looking, think about it, you never know.

Thanks for the chance,

Red

———-

I love how Chad gave Red a voice that resonates and ticked off some concerns people have considering adopting a stray. He kept it conversational to illustrate how nice it would be to have a new friend around the house.

You might recall that included  a KLT hook my dog Jessie wrote in the book and live presentation. Red proves once again that pets love the KLT. And, in case you or anyone you know is looking for a new friend in Long Island, here is a link to the Facebook post where you can inquire about adopting Red…

How cool would that be if the KLT family could have our own house cat slinking around?

This is excellent work, Chad. Thanks for sharing.

Kevin
