    Great lesson, Kevin.

Not giving a care about celebrity status is the one thing that has allowed me to go places I would never have dreamed of in my life.

Although I’ve learned that it’s not always that easy for people to do.

When you talked about the autograph, I was like “noooooo”. 😀 I feel you, man.

    Good one!

Yikes Kevin, that was a huge lesson that you shared. It was like a slap upside the head for me.

Applies to so many interactions, both biz and personal. Why come off as a mere groveling fan (a conception formed in your own mind, as you aptly pointed out), when you could easily connect on a human level and engage in a meaningful conversation.

Great insight, Kevin. I can imagine the superstars among us are actually really glad to relate to people on a more personal level instead of always being asked to give an autograph. It’s like you said, they really are just regular people who have had thier own obstacles (oh, and have happened to CRUSH them, BTW!), but everyone wants to be talked to. And if they don’t, hey, you don’t want to know them anyway!
